Located in the Axarquía of Málaga, this Spanish municipality is known for its famous caves. Since the 60’s it has been a preferential tourist destination on the Costa del Sol. It consists of two population centres: Nerja and Señorío de Maro.
The population growth of the entire Costa del Sol has been incredible in the last decade thanks, in large part, to the arrival of foreigners from the major European powers. Nerja has more than 21,000 inhabitants, but as in the rest of the province with the arrival of summer that number can be doubled.
The weather in Nerja is very similar to the rest of the neighbouring towns, the annual average being 18º degrees. It enjoys more than 300 days of sunshine a year, which is why it receives so many visitors during all seasons.
Nerja’s climate can be defined as temperate and warm, and rainfall is usually not abundant.
An advantage of the locality is its beauty in the landscape, being able to enjoy the charm of the mountain and the attractiveness of its beaches.
Without a doubt, holidays in Nerja are a destination chosen by thousands of visitors. Outstanding beaches such as La Herradura or La Torrecilla.
